We are delighted that Anna will be speaking in Stockholm this May as part of our Wellbeing at Work Summit Europe.
We caught up with her to find out how she’s feeling in the run up to the summit.
Hi Anna, we are thrilled you will be speaking at our Wellbeing at Work Summit Europe in May. Our first and most important question is, how are you doing today?
I am doing great – spring is on its way and we have loads of exciting things cooking here at Matsmart-Motatos.
As a leader based in the region, what are the main challenges you are facing when it comes to employee wellbeing?
As a leader in our region, ensuring the wellbeing of our team members is a complex challenge, especially given the global instability we face today. Our employees are deeply intertwined with broader societal and environmental issues; they feel these pressures not just in their personal lives but also in their work environments, impacting mental and physical health but also influencing productivity and engagement at work.
What strategies have you seen developing over the past 6 months, both internally and externally, that is moving the dial on wellbeing in the workplace?
Supporting our workforce in a holistic manner by recognizing pressures of global instability, and responding compassionately.
Keeping an iterative approach to continually refine and introduce new tools that support the flexible and hybrid nature of our workplaces. Key questions: What are the most effective ways to meet, build culture, and maintain focus in a hybrid environment? To find a strategy that recognizes the diversity in individual needs and job requirements, ensuring that our tools and practices are adaptable and responsive to these varying demands.
Why is employee wellbeing so important to you personally?
People who feel good do good, simple as that! I see no other way to build a company or a society for that matter.
What are you most looking forward to about the Summit in May?
To understand and listen to more thoughts on the topic, understanding if perspectives and problem solving looks different in different industries, phases of the company, size or global presence – or if we are all more similar than we might believe?
Tell us, what is your vision for the future workplace, in terms of engagement, health and wellbeing?
I dream of building a future workplace where psychological safety fuels diversity and innovation, where product-driven mindset and more autonomous teams can thrive using agile methodologies to foster personal growth and inclusive collaboration, enhancing performance and well-being for all.
What areas do you think employers should be focused on over the next 12 months?
Strengthen the psychological safety – for me this is key to build the collective intelligence needed for coping in the complex world we live and work in. Flexibility and freedom is here to stay, let’s find ways of giving this but not lose our connectedness and collaborations.
How has your organization been leading the way?
We have always been building our way of working and our organisation on 100% trust, far away from micro management and set ways of working.
We are also bold lifting hard topics in everything from diversity to our business model and how it need to evolve in the future
