Two organisations prioritising health and wellbeing at work are coming together to launch a conference focused on the health, wellbeing and performance of employees and workplaces.

Wellbeing at Work, leaders in delivering highly successful leadership Summits around the world and Change Mental Health, a Scottish charity supporting people affected by poor mental health and mental illness, will stage the People First Summit at Edinburgh’s Royal College of Physicians on 23rd October 2025.

Featuring speakers from NHS Scotland, City of Edinburgh Council and Aegon, the interactive day of learning will host peer learning workshops, expert knowledge sharing and opportunities for networking.

The conference will bring together organisations from across Scotland, looking to create links of a healthy workforce and enhancing organisational health. It will support organisations to have their team effective, high-performing and enjoying their work.

Research from Deloitte shows that for every £1 spent on mental health support, employers see an average return of £5.30 through reduced absence, turnover and improved productivity. During a time when 9 in 10 UK employees have been experienced burnout in the past year, as noted in the 2025 Burnout Report by Mental Health UK, the People First Summit will show how Scottish organisations can build momentum in creating healthy workplaces where everyone can flourish.

Commenting on the new launch, Chris Cummings, CEO of Wellbeing at Work, said:

“We are delighted to bring a focused Wellbeing at Work event to the beautiful city of Edinburgh this October. I’m particularly excited to be partnering and working with the excellent team at Change Mental Health who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the event. It really will be a day not to miss!”

Nick Ward, CEO at Change Mental Health, said:

“At Change Mental Health, we’ve spent over five decades supporting individuals, families and communities across Scotland. Much of that work has focusing on helping people during moments of crisis when they are at their most vulnerable.
