I am fine. Although the life situation is becoming more challenging, I am still enjoying the journey.

As a leader based in the region, what are the main challenges you are facing when it comes to employee wellbeing?

  • Lack of support from managers and colleagues
  • Lack of recognition and reward

What strategies have you seen developing over the past 6 months, both internally and externally, that is moving the dial on wellbeing in the workplace?

  • Flexible timing and remote work option: especially these days as commuting are becoming more challenging .
  • Technology solutions for remote collaboration
  • Community and connection activities
  • Training and Development: as this creates opportunities for people to grow and stay employable

Why is employee wellbeing so important to you personally?

I am an employee as well and need to maintain my own wellbeing. What applies to me applies to others as well. I need to stay connected to people and work in a good workplace.

What are you most looking forward to about the Summit in February?

I am excited to meet you and other professionals in the market. This energizes me. Sharing knowledge and connecting with people are my highest priorities.

Tell us, what is your vision for the future workplace, in terms of engagement, health and wellbeing?

My vision is to get the buy- in and support from the business leaders to implement wellbeing enhancement initiatives and consider this as a priority.

What areas do you think employers should be focused on over the next 12 months?

Enhancing the emotional intelligence as this is the key for advocating wellbeing at work.

How has your organisation been leading the way?

We, at my organisation, are working hard to implement initiatives which are expected to enhance wellbeing at work. We are still in the middle stage but are working hard to move on with our plan.
