Hi Augustus, we are thrilled you will be speaking at our Wellbeing at Work Summit India in April. Our first and most important question is, how are you doing today?

Fine thanks for asking

As a leader based in the region, what are the main challenges you are facing when it comes to employee wellbeing?

  • Lack of adequate data
  • Wellbeing is personal and sensitive at times, how can we make this a bit generic but still make it sound caring and personalised
  • Confused with the many Wellbeing  vendors/platforms and offerings
  • Cultural relevancy

What strategies have you seen developing over the past 6 months, both internally and externally, that is moving the dial on wellbeing in the workplace?

Many, but notable among them is that employers are baking this into their companies People Strategy

Why is employee wellbeing so important to you personally?

Engaged workforce, satisfied employees and customers and increased productivity, customer satisfaction and growth of the company and its employees.

What are you most looking forward to about the Summit in April?

Networking and Learning

Tell us, what is your vision for the workplace of the future in terms of engagement, health and well-being?

The workplace of the Future will be fragmented but this fragmentation will be addressed by Digital Workplace solutions that will aim to integrate all workplace types. “Culture” will be key to driving engagement and the organizations strategy must shift to managing by Empathy to build a Healthy workforce that is also aware of Financial Wellness and Emotional wellbeing.

What areas do you think employers should be focused on over the next 12 months?

Employers need to reinforce the business strategy in a fast changing and uncertain economic climate.  They must lay strong emphasis on People being at the core of business, that values and embraces Diversity and Inclusion, communicate policies that drive this message embodying it’s commitment  towards building a Healthy workplace.
