New Year Message from our Founder: A Global Vision for 2026

By Chris Cummings, Founder of Wellbeing at Work

Hello everyone, I hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and I wanted to wish our entire global community a very happy, healthy and energising 2026! As we start the New Year, it is a great time to both look back and to look forward. Here at Wellbeing at Work, our team and communities around the world have had a positive 2025 with some amazing achievements and we are excited about what 2026 will bring.

Looking Back: A Year of Global Growth

In 2025, we brought our Wellbeing at Work Summits to new locations including Austin in Texas, Chicago in Illinois and Cairo in Egypt plus our new People First Summit in partnership with Change Mental Health took place in Scotland. Bringing the Summits to new locations is always a thrill and the response from these regions and our existing portfolio of locations last year was incredible.

In fact, we saw a significant growth in senior leaders from employers attending our Wellbeing at Work Summits in every region across the world in 2025, indicating to me that the appetite for a strategic approach to wellbeing at work to empower performance continues to grow globally which is great to see.

Our People: The Heart of the Brand

We continued to grow our teams globally too, enabling us to continue the high-quality service that we are very proud to provide our community. I have always said that Wellbeing at Work is all about the people behind the brand and my wonderful colleagues continue to surprise and delight me as we over-deliver for our communities around the world and provide the tools, insights and engaging experiences to help leaders deliver on their people strategies around the world.

Hot Off the Press: 2026 Global Employer Survey Results

At the end of the last year, we conducted our annual global employer survey, and you can see the full results in our survey report that will be landing shortly but I wanted to share some exciting highlights hot off the press!

  • Investment: Over 80% of employers surveyed globally plan to either continue at the same level or increase overall investment in employee wellbeing in the next 12 months.
  • Priority: 89% of employers surveyed globally have told us that employee wellbeing is a strategic priority for the year ahead.
  • Expansion: Over 84% of employers surveyed globally plan to expand or enhance their wellbeing programmes across physical, mental, social, and financial wellbeing domains.

This data further reinforces that both the focus and investment levels from employers across the world will be increasing in 2026 which is very exciting to hear, and I expect a further increase in the employer attendees who engage with us at our Summits and across our communities over the next 12 months.

New Horizons: 2026 Summit Destinations

Looking ahead to the next 12 months, I am delighted to announce that we will be bringing more exciting experiences to new regions of the world in 2026 to further grow our community.

Later this month, we will be launching our Summit in Muscat, in April we will be introducing our new Integrated Health Summit to our UK audiences, Hong Kong will be a new destination for us in April while in May we will be bringing the Wellbeing at Work Summit to Los Angeles and Madrid for the first time. We are very excited about these new additions to our portfolio and look forward to welcoming more employers to our community this year.

A Personal Milestone: “The Wellbeing Centered Workplace”

Finally, I am delighted to announce that my first book – The Wellbeing Centered Workplace – will be released in April. This book is my personal journey over the last 12 years, taking Wellbeing at Work from a kitchen table start-up to a global business and why employee wellbeing was at the heart of this significant growth.

It is a playbook for you all so you can truly embed wellbeing at work as a strategic priority in your organisation and it provides the ten steps you need to take to empower performance in your organisations.

Closing Thoughts

So, we are very positive and excited about the year ahead here at Wellbeing at Work and we look forward to seeing you all at one of our Summits in a city near you very soon!

Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
