We are delighted that Dalia will be speaking in New York as part of our US summit. We caught up with her to see how she’s feeling in the runup to the event.

A significant challenge I am seeing on the employee side is a pervasive sense of disconnection and burnout. Many individuals feel undervalued and unfulfilled, leading to decreased engagement and productivity.

I have had the honor to work with many companies on increasing the wellbeing of their employees in the workplace and I truly believe a great strategy are my 5 P’s.

Purpose, Perspective, Perseverance, People + Positivity

My passion for employee wellbeing stems from my own experiences in leadership roles. I’ve witnessed firsthand how a lack of support and recognition can lead to disengagement. Conversely, environments that prioritize authenticity, empathy, and psychological safety not only enhance individual fulfillment but also drive organizational success. This personal journey has fueled my mission to promote happier and more supportive workplaces.

AI presents both opportunities and challenges. While it can automate repetitive tasks and provide data-driven insights, there’s a risk of diminishing human connection and increasing job insecurity.

I have been encouraging others to lean into AI, learning how to make it work with employees as a helpful tool.

In the coming year, employers should prioritize:

  • Mental Health Support: Expanding access to counseling and mental health resources.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Creating equitable environments where all employees feel valued.
  • And as always, Leadership Development: Training leaders to adopt empathetic and authentic leadership styles.

I have seen that in certain regions investment in employee wellbeing is on the rise, driven by a growing recognition of its impact on organizational performance. More and more, HR leaders are able to demonstrate the return on investment through metrics like reduced turnover, increased productivity, and enhanced employee engagement. This data-driven approach has been instrumental in securing leadership buy-in and fostering a culture that values wellbeing.

I try to work with as many organizations and speak at summits just as this to teach a more positive and empathetic leadership style. And I would closing with the employees of those organizations to find their purpose and passion in the workplace.
